Woodgrove senior singers Samantha Kershner, Georgia Peake, and Julia Stewart recently attended the 36th annual Virginia Music Educators Association’s Developmental Conference as a part of the VMEA Senior Honors Choir.

Only 18 other Loudoun County students earned this honor, out of 600 students who auditioned state-wide. The choir was under the direction of Dr. Eugene Rogers, the Associate Director of Choirs and Associate Professor of Conducting at the University of Michigan.

“I’d go back if I could,” said Kershner. “I liked how challenging the music was and how the director pushed us to be better.”
