Hurricane+Harvey+Donations

Written by Hope Davison

With Houston, Texas, and the surrounding areas in ruins after Hurricane Harvey, Woodgrove students are adopting multiple classrooms in the flood zones of Texas. As of now, there are over 40,000 people living in shelters, and over four million people with damaged homes and without power.

Woodgrove is stepping in to help gather school supplies and send them to the classrooms at Mayde Creek High School in Houston, a school now labeled “in need.” All donations are due by September 18, 2017. Drop off stations include rooms 313, 609, and in the Main Foyer.

Supplies needed include:

  • Paper (90 cents)
  • Pencils
  • Binders
  • Folders (90 cents)
  • Markers
  • Erasers
  • Pens
  • Composition Notebooks (90 cents)
  • Colored Pencils
  • Crayons
  • Disinfectant Wipes
  • Bookbags
  • Tissues

Supplies are being collected by Ms. Sarah Armel’s classes and the Woodgrove Outlander Newspaper Staff.
