Coach’s Corner Opens to Great Success

The newest food attraction in Purcellville, the “Coach’s Corner” restaurant, is the talk of the town.  With so many restaurants in Purcellville, it’s hard to be a new business in the food industry, but the restaurant has been consistently busy since opening in mid-October.

Upon entering the restaurant, the first impression is that of an appealing “bar type” restaurant, but when you get inside, it’s very family-friendly.  The restaurant is very well-decorated with all kinds of sport memorabilia, and the décor especially highlights the local Purcellville teams.  The rivalry between Woodgrove and Loudoun Valley High Schools is kept alive by having jerseys from each team at opposite sides of the building.  There is also many professional sports’ team jerseys around the restaurant as well as plenty of televisions to keep everyone entertained.  Many different channels of sports are featured, and some televisions also display other shows for those who are not interested in sports.

Along with the look of the place, the food is very good too.  The menu has a wide variety of burgers including the “Wolverine” and the “Viking” burgers.  In a brief survey of Woodgrove students, there was not one bad response to the food they were eating.

Senior Trevor Moortgat said, “I had the Viking burger and it was delicious.”  The food is good quality for a reasonable price, and the staff was very nice and accommodating to all requests.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and friendly. Diners seemed to be enjoying themselves.  People of all ages were in attendance on the evening I dined at the restaurant, and there were many families with children.  In addition to the televisions, the children can be kept entertained by a basketball hoop and pinball machine.

Overall, my dining experience at the Coach’s Corner was excellent.  This new addition to downtown Purcellville is off to a good start.
