Wolverine Varsity Football:

Record: 5-2

Next Game: Friday, October 20 at Heritage.

Last Game: Won 28-12 against Dominion on Friday, October 13.

In the rematch from last season’s Divisional Playoff Game, both teams competed hard into the fourth quarter, with Woodgrove holding a tiny 14-12 lead at the start of the first. Led by the combined 164-yard rushing effort of Sophomore KJ Lewis and Junior Josh Johnson and the passing trio of Freshman Quarterback Bailey Burton and Junior Wide Receivers Nick Lockhart and Ben Castellano, the Wolverines ensured their revenge from last year’s defeat, adding on two touchdowns in the late stages of the game. With the victory, Woodgrove has another Dulles District Championship.


Woodgrove Cross Country:

Last Meet: Saturday, October 14 in the 3rd Battle Invitational at Millbrook High School.


Wolverine Field Hockey:

Record: 10-6

Last Game: Won 3-1 against Loudoun Valley on Wednesday, October 18.


Woodgrove Golf:

Last Match: Fell to Blacksburg in the VHSL State Tournament in the final stage of the tournament.

The Woodgrove Golf Team made the five-hour trip to Abington, Virginia to compete in their first ever VHSL State Tournament on Monday October 9, and Tuesday October 10. Alex Price finished 6th out of 43 participants, leading the Wolverines to a second-place finish in Abington, an impressive feat for Woodgrove’s first time competing for the State Title.

Next Tournament: The Dulles District Cheer Championship on Thursday, October 19.

Last Tournament: The Dulles District Tournament on Tuesday, October 10, at Woodgrove High School.


Wolverine Varsity Volleyball:

Record: 12-7

Next Match: Today, Thursday, October 19 vs Riverside High School.

Last Match: Won 0-3 against Heritage on Tuesday, October 17.
