Fall Players to Watch

The Woodgrove student body voted through Facetime on the fall players to watch for each sport; here are the results and those players’ commentary.

Wolfgang Roettiger WHS Senior Golf.

Roettiger says, “Even if you don’t think you’ll make the team, try out. It’s ok if you’re never the best. All that matters is that you had fun, became part of the team, and felt like you improved.”

Prescott Noll WHS Sophomore Cross Country. 

Noll shares his favorite memory of this season “probably just being with the team, we all push each other to places that we’d never be able to go and things we’d never be able to do alone.”

Lilly Soska WHS Sophomore Volleyball

Soska says, “I’d have to say I’m pretty surprised to be picked as the volleyball athlete to watch this fall with so many of my talented teammates in the running. I am ecstatic to have this opportunity, and it makes me proud of how hard I’ve worked to get to where I am now.”
