Hair-Do’s and Don’ts for Prom 2022

Curled hairstyle (Scarlett Seneca)

With prom right around the corner, The Woodgrove Outlander has assembled the most captivating looks that students can perfect to make prom night more magical.

Scarlett Seneca, a Junior at Woodgrove High School who also attends the Academies of Loudoun for Cosmetology, shares tips to look like an Instagram model.

One classic hair-do that is sure to look stunning is the popular half-up, half-down. Part the hair halfway up your head and tie the top section into a ponytail. Add a little spice by curling the end pieces, and you’re ready to go!

To achieve that enchanting look to match your outfit, hair accessories are a must.“Braids, lots of braids. Barrettes, hair clips; hair adornments are always a cute add on,” states Seneca.

Another recent trend that has topped everyone’s TikTok For You Page is the Wolf cut. Travel back in time with this 70’s look of shaggy layering and curtain bangs, paired with sharp winged eyeliner to achieve that edgy, grunge look. This cut is perfect for any hair length and is guaranteed to turn heads on prom night.

Although these are the most trending looks on the internet at the moment, students should wear whatever makes them feel glamorous and confident for this unforgettable night.
