The Quickly Evolving World of Fashion: Featuring Sloane Bachman

Woodgrove senior Sloane Bachman shares fashion tips, changes, and influences in her style throughout her time in high school.

Bachman’s senior year, she rocked more mature and neutral colors, wearing gray boot cut jeans and a white button up top.

Bachman explains the epiphany she had which persuaded her to change her fashion choices: “I’ve realized it is super important to dress the way you want to dress, and not the way other people want you to dress. I use clothes to express the way I feel.”

While Bachman used to mimic what she saw in the halls of Woodgrove, she now looks for inspiration from fashion icons of the 90’s and the early 2000’s like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Christina Milan, and Paris Hilton. “I’ve been wearing a lot of low rise jeans, boot cut jeans, and yoga pants,” says Bachman, which are key pieces worn in renowned outfits by Christina Milan in the year 2000.

In a world where fads come and go quickly and people tend to “judge a book by its cover,” it is important to dress the way that you want to dress that makes you feel confident and good about yourself.
