Journalism History: First year in journalism

Why they joined: When her sister was in high school, she absolutely loved journalism and seemed so passionate about writing. At first, Charlie decided to take it because of her, but now she enjoys it so much that she chose it for myself. Writing feels natural for her, and it is something that she wants to continue to get better at.

Favorite topic: Personally, she enjoys writing about things that are happening in the community. Businesses, events, student life, etc.

Extracurricular activities: She is on the varsity volleyball team at Woodgrove, and she also plays travel indoor and beach volleyball.

Hobbies: Reading has always been a big part of her since her childhood, when she wouldn’t go to sleep without listening to her parents read Junie B. Jones. She also enjoys dabbling in different forms of art, whether it be drawing, watercolors, or crafts. She’s also a big Marvel, Star Wars, and Harry Potter fan.

Fun Facts: She’s a middle child. Her music taste ranges throughout the decades, both oldies and newer stuff; from the Eagles, to The Killers, and Sam Fender. She lovse to travel, and her favorite vacation so far was hiking in Utah and Arizona. Friends is her all-time favorite show. She has a Bernedoodle and a Golden Doodle.
