Journalism History: This is Bella’s first year in journalism.

Why they joined: She joined this class because she really enjoys writing and reading other people’s pieces. She believes that finding topics around the community and school makes you see the area you live in from a different perspective, which she thinks is very important and adds a larger sense of gratitude to your day.

Favorite topic: Sports and Student Life

Extracurricular activities: She has participated in Woodgrove volleyball for all four years of high school, and she is a president of global ambassadors and a member of Rho Kappa. For clubs, she puts the majority of her time into Global Ambassadors, as it holds many events throughout the year that require tons of planning.

Hobbies: She really enjoys traveling as much as possible, as this has shaped her to be who she is today, so she seeks out new places whenever she gets the chance. Along with that, volleyball is her favorite sport, and she has played all throughout high school. Finally, she finds comfort in spending her time outside, whether that consists of walks, runs, or even simply doing work outside.

Fun Facts: She is a military child, and she was given the amazing opportunity to spend 5 years of her life growing up in Okinawa, Japan. While moving a lot took its toll, she can confidently say that she gained much more than she lost, and looks forward to the day she is able to return!
