The Lumineers Brightside World Tour

The artistry the Lumineers demonstrate through their music paints a beautiful picture of what it means to invoke intense, diverse emotions by telling a story.  The Lumineers, an American folk rock band from Colorado, launched their debut album on April 3rd, 2012. That day was a breakthrough that began the rise of future stars. The Brightside World Tour was announced on February 8th, 2022. Part one of the tour was set to begin on February 24th, 2022 and end on September 6th, 2022.

The Lumineers first performance on this U.S. tour took place in Jacksonville, FL on May 18th, 2022.For many, this tour has been the first opportunity to attend a concert post-pandemic. Fans around the world were thrilled to attend the grand concerts featuring elaborate, brightly colored set pieces and lighting. The six-member band ensemble included cartwheels in their time on stage. Lead singer Wesley Schultz has also been known to lie on the floor for dramatic effect.

American singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov opened half of the shows, while the folk band CAAMP opened for the other half. Part one of the tour concluded on September 6th in Grand Rapids, MI. The most memorable show, according to lead singer Wesley Schultz, was on September 3rd at Wrigley Field. Over 40,000 fans attended, and it was a dream come true for the band because they had always dreamt of performing there since the beginning of their careers.

After a short break, the Lumineers jumped right into performing at various music festivals. Beginning on November 6th, 2022, the Lumineers resumed their tour by visiting Canada and then branching out to different parts of the world. If they continue on this track of inspiration and success, many could say that the Lumineers are only just getting started.

The Lumineers are comparable to bands such as The Head and the Heart, Mumford and Sons, CAAMP, and the Ave. The Lumineers debut album, The Lumineers (deluxe version), became known for track 5,Ho Hey.” The group continued to gain traction building up to the release of their second album, Cleopatra on April 8th, 2016. Their second studio album is a beautiful encapsulation of various themes such as love, heartbreak, loneliness, and redemption. On September 13th, 2019, The Lumineers dropped their third and most intense album to date, III. III tells the story of a fictional family, the Sparks, who are in ruins from addiction. Then, on January 14th 2022, the Lumineers released their latest studio album called Brightside.

The album Brightside was released with the intention of bringing optimism and hope to the world in the midst of the global pandemic. “BRIGHTSIDE,” track one, is a vibrant, catchy opening to this nine track studio album. Instead of releasing a deluxe version of the album, as they have previously done, they created a separate EP for the Brightside bonus tracks. This EP contains five tracks, three acoustic Brightside tracks, and two covers. All of the songs on Brightside were brought to life onstage during the world tour.
