Woodgrove Senior Brayden Fuchs faced many challenges throughout his final football season. Going into the 2022 season, Fuchs expected a breakout year for the team and himself. However, during the first game of Woodgrove’s highly anticipated season, Fuchs went down, tearing his MCL and ACL, meaning he was out for his final season with the Wolverines.

This left challenges for Fuchs on and off the field, not just physically but also in regards to his future football career. Fuchs explains his hardships and how he was able to navigate through them. “When I figured out I would be out the rest of the season, I was very disappointed. Being around the team definitely helped me mentally. Everyone on the football team was very supportive.”

Fuchs still wanted to play football the next four years at college, but did not know how possible that would be due to the gruesome nature of his injury. Then after long talks and consideration, Fuchs received an offer from Bridgewater College. “When I received my first offer, I was very relieved that I would get the opportunity to play another four years at the next level.”
