The Woodgrove Outlander

Iza Piatkowski, Editor In Chief

Iza Piatkowski is an Editor-in-Chief and a senior in her 3rd year of journalism. She took Intro to Journalism as a sophomore and continued onto the Outlander staff the following year. Her passions for writing and sharing local news led her to join the program. Although she enjoys writing just about anything, Iza focuses on arts, entertainment, and local news. She is an Editor-in-Chief of Woodgrove’s Literary Magazine, President and Founder of Creative Writing Club, competes in Debate and Forensics, serves as the secretary for Loudoun Community Press, and is also a member of the Student Leader Advisory Board. She also volunteers through the Claude Moore Community Builders Program and serves as a Youth Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation. Iza’s interests include reading, writing, watching bad horror movies, and playing with her dogs.
